Val's Take/Conjecture

• When we talk about the DEVELOPMENTAL ORIGINS OF HEALTH AND DISEASE -- 
  • ​We're often talking about DYSREGULATIONS that occurred IN UTERO and may lead to "NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES" many years later.  It appears that we're talking about:
    • ​Auto-Immune Diseases
    • Cancer
    • Diabetes
    • Neuro-Developmental and Psychiatric Disorders, including related Addiction Disorders, and
    • Neuro-Degenerative Disorders​

These DYSREGULATIONS often involved THE IMMUNE SYSTEM. 

• What's particularly surprising for Neuro-Developmental and Psychiatric Disorders that have been so associated with the BRAIN ----
  • ​IMMUNE DYSREGULATIONS in utero lead to far-ranging cascading effects, often beginning with DYSREGULATION of Microglia (the brain's immune cells).
